About Poet :
Syed Ahmed Shah, known by his pen name Ahmed Faraz was born in 1931 in Pakistan. He attained his earlier education form Edwards college Peshawar and later on did MA Urdu from University of Peshawar. Throughout his lifetime, he criticized dictatorship due which he faced many hurdles in his career. He was awarded Sitara e Imtiaz and Hilal e Imtiaz because of his amazing contribution to Urdu Shayari. He died in 2008 in Islamabad but is still alive in millions of heart.
Faraz wrote several collections of poetry, including Tanha Tanha, Savera, Sad–barg, and Khud Kalami. His poetry often focused on love, patriotism, and social justice. He used simple yet profound language to express his thoughts and feelings. Faraz was awarded the Hilal–e–Imtiaz in 2004 for his literary achievements. He passed away in 2008 in Islamabad, Pakistan. He is remembered for his impact on Urdu literature and for his revolutionary poetry.
