Allama Iqbal

Allama Iqbal was a poet, a philosopher, an ideologue and a writer. He was born in Sialkot in 1877. Allama Iqbal has written poetry mostly in Urdu and Persian. Major part of his poetry is about self awareness and self esteem. He has also written many nazms for kids. His concept of Khudi is a role model for young generations. Iqbal’s thoughts have been influenced by Rumi a lot. He was by professional a lawyer. For his amazing poetry work, Iqbal is considered poet of the east. Because he went to Europe for higher education and saw western culture himself, he directly criticized it and asked his young generations to stay away from it.
